Not to Know
An eclectic adventure in improvisation

Not to Know, not knowing… means having no idea what the next instant will present to us. It means letting oneself go to the essence of improvisation itself - a constant consciousness of the present moment, an instinctive discovery of the paths offered to the creators. The project’s uniqueness and its charm lie in the specific use of an unconventional performance space that creates more of an environmental than a theatrical atmosphere. The performance environment, which is completely covered with real grass, calls upon the audience members to use all five senses, drawing upon their curiosity and inviting them to move freely through the various installations: the spectator chooses what he/she wants to see, as well as how and when.

The artists in Not to Know are all virtuoso improvisers. Here virtuosity refers to their profound understanding of the kinesthetic, their capacity to explore different concepts and a quality of stage presence and artistic consciousness that are truly extraordinary. With their many years of experience, these artists are able to present us in all its nuances and variations, with the creative potential of the body for expression.
